It’s more fun in the Philippines, they say. What can we do with fun, if our environment is already done?
Given the fact that our country’s rich biodiversity is under threat, can we take action in this regard? Can we help in any way? Of course! We can!
Sad to say, the Philippines' environmental situation is getting worse as a result of calamities brought on by climate change, urbanization, deforestation, anti-environment policy, and loss of ecological integrity (IBON Foundation, 2020).
Filipinos should be worried since our environment adversely affects us. Fortunately, there is an action that we can do to conserve our ecosystem and slow its deterioration. How? By signing up and taking part in a number of community organizations' volunteer projects that are aimed at preserving the environment.
If you still do not have any idea where you can join, we provided a list of different environmental organizations just for you!

Kapit Pinas is a youth-led and volunteer-driven social media Bayanihan group that began as Kapit Mindanao founded by Meryl Hilda, intending to assist the people in the southern region of the Philippines during COVID-19. Kapit Mindanao was established in response to the urgent need to help the people of Mindanao who were in desperate need after the typhoons Ulysses, Rolly, and Quinta, and renamed Kapit Pinas a year later.
The organization raised 20 million pesos and helped hundreds of communities across the country. Millennials PH is the national winner of the 2020 Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Foundation through their Kapit-Mindanao movement. Even though the COVID-19 response program for 20 Mindanao towns came to an end last year, the team has continued to collaborate on additional youth-focused projects. They have continued to use the platform to support other young organizations, offer mentoring, work on projects together, etc. They hope to serve as a trustworthy path for information about upcoming non-government organizations (NGOs), government, and international possibilities.

The organization's mission is to save the Philippines' woods from the prevalent threats and issues. The majority of the places under the careful eye of the Forest Foundation Philippines are the Sierra Madre, Palawan, and Samar forest landscapes, which are all in critical condition.
Improvements to the lives of neighborhoods dependent on woods and collaboration with organizations that enrich forests are important components of the organization's efforts to sustain forests and the natural environment.
